The group Equity and Diversity in Education was created in 2005, and its main purpose is to strengthen the field of research with projects that investigate and generate knowledge about educational attention that recognizes and enhances cultural, social, gender, linguistic and cultural differences. learning in the context of an education that promotes the equalization of opportunities in a context characterized by profound social, cultural and economic inequalities. In the same way, the research group highlights the recognition and approach to difference, but also highlights the importance of the study and the proposals that from education, pedagogy and politics tend to work in the face of inequality which in fact have minorities in Colombia. In this way, it formulates and develops projects related to the education of populations denominated politically as minority and theoretically as different.

Build a new Pedagogical and political view on the relationships, experiences and dynamics of our educational system. The research group intends to highlight the importance of the study and the proposals that from education, pedagogy and politics tend to work in the face of inequality that have minorities in Colombia.

Strengthen the field of research in equity and diversity in education with projects that investigate and generate knowledge about educational attention that recognizes and enhances cultural, social, gender, linguistic and learning differences within the framework of an education that promotes the equalization of opportunities in a context characterized by profound social, cultural and economic inequalities; for this purpose, professional and thematic trajectories should be observed.
