Detection of genetic and metabolic diseases using biochemical techniques, such as DNA and protein electrophoresis, fluorescence, spectrophotometry, PCR, enzymatic restraint and sequencing. 5. Develop molecular techniques such as PCR, RAPDs, SSRs, AFLPs and sequencing that allow the differentiation of varieties or species and genotypes at the molecular level.
Training of research seedlings by linking undergraduate and graduate students of the PCLQ to projects as Young Investigators. 2. Provide the laboratory through the acquisition of equipment through projects that allow the development of molecular and biochemical techniques with state-of-the-art technology. 3. To develop Extension courses that allow to train to teachers of the district or professionals of related areas in techniques of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. 4. Validation of protocols of molecular and biochemical techniques such as PCR, sequencing, enzymatic detections by spectrophotometry and fluorometry. 5. Provide solutions to health problems in the country; at the biotechnological level to support research lines related to the molecular study of mutations that favor high-end athletes. 6. Consolidation of an interdisciplinary research group in the study of metabolic disorders, cerebral metabolism, glioma type cancer.
To consolidate an interdisciplinary research group where, through research, teachers, researchers and students of the Bachelor's degree program in Chemistry and other areas of the Sciences are linked to develop projects in molecular biology, enzymology, proteins and brain metabolism to generate projects at the educational, biotechnological, industrial, environmental and human health levels at the national level.
