Organisation description

The research group supports the area of ​​power electronics of the programs in Power Systems Low and Medium Voltage and Electrical Engineering by Cycles, Faculty of Technology, at the Francisco José de Caldas District University. At present, the group develops research and development projects in the areas of electronics, instrumentation, control, automation, robotics, signal processing, energy management, renewable sources and research and engineering training. The research group is in continuous activity, developing research projects and other related activities.


To foster convergence of interests and articulation of efforts of the District University, national research and investment institutions and other interested members, to promote the development of technology, with a focus on integrated management of natural resources, and a high technical quality adapted to the needs of our technological development, contributing to democratic and sustainable development.



The ARMOS research group in 2020 aims to consolidate itself as the interinstitutional platform for mutual strengthening between the Francisco José de Caldas District University and the national industry, which coordinates actions to improve technology in the perspective of the country's development.
