Development of the Project "Diagnosis on how undergraduate students of the Faculty of Communication and Language use information sources in the mother tongue and in the foreign language in their learning processes." August 2004-August 2007: Generate products derived from research Register in COLCIENCIAS Formation of a concrete research training program with 5 new professors Completion of at least a second research project 2004-2009: Leading the formulation of the Doctorate in Social and Human Sciences of the Pontifical University Javeriana August 2005-June 2008: Participation in the formulation of the Doctorate in Social and Human Sciences at the Pontifical Javeriana University August 2007-August 2008: Socialization of research results 6 Elaboration of 6 new certified knowledge products January 2009-December 2009: Linking through a project, with a research team national or international, in the field. 2009- NEXT: to participate in the Doctorate in Social and Human Sciences of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. August 2008- August 2010: 10 certified products and start of a Master's program. January 2010 January 2015: a. Training of undergraduate students, masters and doctorates. Development of Master's and Doctorate courses and management of undergraduate thesis, master's and doctorate. b. Participation in national calls for the formulation of projects with regional impact.

Desarrollo del Proyecto "Diagnóstico sobre la forma como los estudiantes de pregrado de la Facultad de comunicación y Lenguaje utilizan las fuentes de información en lengua materna y en lengua extranjera, en sus procesos de aprendizaje. Agosto 2004-Agosto 2007: Generar productos derivados de la investigación. Registro en COLCIENCIAS. Conformación de un programa concreto de formación en investigación, con 5 nuevos profesores. Realización de por lo menos un segundo proyecto de investigación. 2004-2009: Liderar la formulación del Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales y Humanas de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Agosto 2005-Junio 2008: participación en la formulación del Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales y Humanas de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Agosto 2007-Agosto 2008: Socialización de resultados de investigaciones. Elaboración de 6 productos de nuevo conocimiento certificado. Enero 2009-diciembre 2009: Vinculación a través de un proyecto, con un equipo de investigación nacional o internacional, en el campo. 2009- SIGUIENTES: participar en el Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales y Humanas de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Agosto 2008- Agosto 2010: 10 productos certificados e inicio de un programa de Maestría. Enero 2010 enero 2015: a. Formación de estudiantes de pregrado, maestría y doctorado. Desarrollo de cursos de Maestría y Doctorado y dirección de Tesis de pregrado, maestría y Doctorado. b. Participación en convocatorias nacionales para la formulación de proyectos con impacto regional. 


Contribute to the formulation of public policies on essential competences for education, the world of work and the exercise of citizenship, in the context of the information society, in coherence with the country's Development Plans. 2. Describe and understand everyday learning practices in the context of the information society and derive elements for the transformation of information society in the context of the information society. 3. Building knowledge through interdisciplinary dialogue on the place of education and the new roles of teachers and students in the information society. Challenges: Focus on public policies related to the development of core competencies, or key competences, in the population to respond competitively to the challenges of the information society. Strengthen the Latin American ALFIN Network through research and the visibility of achievements in this regard. Provide relevant knowledge about the learning practices of students in the information society. Understand the cultural variables that mediate the practices of teachers and students and their relationship with the beliefs about the information and the roles attributed to the learners in this context. Generate transformative proposals of teaching and learning practices in the information society. Contribute to the formulation of instruments for the evaluation of competences To train teachers for the construction of learning environments that contribute to the development of informational competences in formal education contexts. Develop proposals for information literacy and digital from an emancipatory perspective.


The group intends to link with national and international networks interested in influencing public policies and improving the quality of education, from research and joint construction of knowledge that responds in particular to the complex social and human problems of Latin America . Likewise, it seeks to contribute to the consolidation of formal and non-formal educational processes, oriented to the development of essential competences, or key competences (European Commission, 2004), in the context of the information society
